Brown Butter Glaze

We love salmon at our house! It is an awesome source of protein, iron, healthy fats and vitamin D making it a great food to feed your entire family too. Especially because it can be cooked in less than 30 minutes which is ideal for busy families.

This brown butter glaze takes salmon to a whole new level! It adds a layer of sweet and tanginess that is simply addicting.

Because this sauce has brown sugar I do recommend only offering it to children over 12 months old. (We want to limit added sugars with infants)

Dinner Time! brown butter glazed salmon (recipe ) steamed green beans with @kerrygoldusa coconut milk rice (recipe in highlights) mangoes - Swipe over to see what Jax(2 years old) ate! And swipe again for my plate! - *We start all meals with SMALLER PORTIONS however he is able to ask for MORE of ANYTHING we are eating at that particular meal- this reduces food waste and teaches intuitive eating. See portion size highlight for more information* All hail @straightouttacompstonkitchen brown butter salmon glaze we all LOVED it tonight! My husband spent the rest of the evening listing off other foods we should eat with this sauce Jax was a little skeptical at first but after seeing us enjoy it he eventually tried a bite of mine and then some of his too! Tonights dinner would be a great meal for the whole family! Although I would like to note that the sauce includes added sugar so I would suggest leaving it out for the little ones (6 months-12 months) since we want to avoid/reduce added sugars during this age range. After that small amounts are okay especially in cases like this where its paired with other foods that are nutrient rich and enjoyed as a family! But the recommendations is technically still to reduce all added sugars until age 2. There were no additional servings requested during this meal. You might notice that the green beans mostly went untouched and thats OKAY! I made a point to enjoy mine and show Jax that I love them. But since he didnt eat them- I saved them and they will make another appearance on an upcoming meal/snack for more exposure! Remember, leftovers can be your secret weapon for repeat food exposure

I recently made this same glaze but used it over pork chops and it was also amazing! I altered the cook tempterature and time. I cooked at 400F for 18-22 mintues (or until the internal temperature is 165F).
