GIFT: Meal Delivery Gift Card

A great gift for any occasionand especially for a last-minute holiday giftis a gift subscription to a meal delivery service.

You can send it anytime: The recipient gets an email with instructions on how to select and order his/her meals.

We recently received a gift of a week of prepared meals from Eat Clean Bro Meal Delivery Service, which serves most areas of New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

There are meal delivery options in many areas across the country.

There are quite a few services offering everything from the mainstream to keto-friendly to dairy-free, gluten-free and meals under 400 calories.

Wed never ordered from a service before, and we were very surprised at how good everything was: flavorful meals designed by a fitness to nourish with clean food.

In fact, with Eat Clean Bro it was as if Mom were back in the kitchen, turning out her fine home cooking.

We got to choose the menu for the forthcoming weeks meals: the specific entrees plus sides based on our checklist of likes.

Eat Clean Bros menu was developed by a bodybuilder, based on the guidelines that he and other athletes follow. Our week of dinners included:

  • Broccoli & Cheddar Burger (With Baked Fries & Fixings)
  • Fall Harvest Chicken
  • Braised Beef With Salsa Verde
  • Teriyaki Salmon With Hibachi Rice
  • Thai Peanut Shrimp
  • Grilled Lean Sirloin, Roasted Garlic & Rosemary Red Bliss Potatoes, Garlic Green Beans
  • Chicken Parm Stuffed With Three Cheeses & Sundried Tomatoes

  • Everything is delivered fully cooked and ready to heat.

When reheated, the meals were as delicious as they would have been right off the stove.

    WHO WILL ENJOY THIS MOST?

Its a great idea for people who dont like to cook, or dont have the time.

Its a great way to get a New Year diet off to an easy start.

Giftees can order during their busy season (example: the upcoming tax season for accountants, final exams), or the time crunches we all have.

We do like to cook and we do have the time, yet our week of ready-to-eat meals was still our favorite food gift of the year.

It was really nice to take a break and have someone else do the cooking. No prep and no cleanup are a bonus.

A meal delivery service may be an eye-opener for a friend or family member whos never tried meal delivery before. Its a luxury that we think is well worth it.

To find a service in the giftees area, check online and check the menus.

While most services have excellent choices of meat, poultry and seafood, some services have an equally large selection of vegan and vegetarian options; some have organic and low-salt options, etc.

To friends who are reading this: Yes, Id like another gift of meal delivery.
