Last Friday of the month is for
Monthly Poetry Group to rhyme.
Diane, Mimi, and I take turns,
"Go Away" is the theme this time.
As usual, today I'll try,
a poem to write . . . or fudge.
Whether I'm successful or not,
you get to be the judge. Go Away
"Go away,"
I heard him say,
stopped in traffic, to our dismay,
seems road work was underway.“Go away,”
I heard him say,
this was on the very next day,
woodpecker on the house, pecking away.
"Go away,"
I heard him say,
on the kitchen counter there lay,
so much junk mail on display.
"Go away,"
I heard him say,
eating out on the deck that day,
a bee had decided to join the buffet.
Smothered Chicken Casserole
"Go away,"
I heard him say,
turned to see him look my way.
We'd gotten in a fight that day.
"Go away,"
I'd heard him say,
next words, made everything OK:
"pick a beach, we'll go and play."
